Walis Tambo is a hand-crafted broom made from the flower stalks of Tiger grass cut from the upland interior region called Alilem.
Another classic which has withstood the test of time. Many of the old Vigan houses have been cared for by zealous housekeepers wielding these hand-crafted brooms.
Our walis is produced from the flower stalks of the Tiger grass and harvested by hand from the local marshes. When the stalks are dried, the hardier ends are bundled and bound together to form the handle. The other end of the stalks fan out to form a natural broom.
