Mission

The Syquia Mansion, a Philippine government declared heritage building, is the ancestral home of several generations of the Gregorio Syquia Clan.  The Syquia Mansion Operates as a museum, its treasures showcasing the genteel lifestyle spanning from the Spanish and American colonial periods to the post war period.

It is the mission of the Syquia Mansion Museum Foundation Inc. (SMMFI) to:

  1. Restore, preserve, and conserve the structure, including the artworks and artifacts, to pristine condition.
  2. Preserve and promote the history, heritage, arts and culture of Vigan and the Ilocos region through exhibits and exhibitions, educational tours, and other similar activities.
  3. Be self-sustaining in these activities by offering guided tours of the mansion and selling products that support local artisans of Ilocos Sur.

Vision

Our vision for the Syquia Mansion is a beautifully preserved heritage house museum known internationally as a UNESCO World Heritage house and locally as an advocate of history, arts and culture.
